The hand works again…

Sunday, March 22nd, 2009

I’ve had a problem with my neck which created numbness and loss of feeling in my hand.  The past weeks have found relief and I decided to put my hand to the machine again on a project too long overdue.  The machines needed tuning, my body needed adjusting and re-acclimating.  This is the result.  My hand has not been on the machine in nearly 9 months.  It still needs some work but it remembers…

What’s in my head…

yeh, it’s bad when I get a good buzz going, the imagination is a wicked thing. LOL! Couldn’t resist doing more work on this one… “This Animal I have become…”

(And somebody has already asked to have it as a tattoo… go figure)

Doodling at work…

Wednesday, May 21st, 2008

Testing out the hand today… after the MRI on my neck last week, I had to give it a break. This was some doodling in pen at work. Can you tell my frame of mind? :)   (still has to be finished…)

Kristina’s Back Piece

Another project I was working on: A lower back piece…

Shading and coloring yet to be done. (having a  bit of a problem with my neck which is creating numbness in the hands… working much slower and it’s frustrating!)

So I continue to dabble with the idea…

Signifying, Mother, Father, Child… intertwined open hearts, holding their child.
The imagination still at work…

Drawing for Projects…

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

Tonight I’m inspired by some ideas that were brought to me by friends who have asked me to design tattoos for them. I love to hear the ideas people have for tattoos and then work with those ideas to create a design that expresses the meaning of their ideas in a personalized, individual work of art. I’m not fond of “flash” as it is more like a “rubber stamp” tattoo. I believe each piece should be as unique as the meaning behind it.

Request: 3 hearts representing the bond of 3 hearts in their family:

More Practice, The Worm (Inspired by “Tremors”)

Thursday, March 13th, 2008

Again, some temporary tattoo work with Sharpies.  My grandson chose this one, looks like something out of the movie “Tremors!”

Shading and outlining in black, working brown, orange and yellow in to give it pop and add dimension.

A Real Challenge…

Saturday, February 9th, 2008

My son’s right arm is reserved for a Jester sleeve.   I promised my son (in-law) that I would repair this. This was done by one of his friends who was an apprentice in tattooing.  I bid a kudos to him for letting this guy work on him.  It just goes to show… “believe none of what you hear and only half of what you see.”

The before and work in progress of what I plan to do:
